Stress in Teaching If there is one profession that needs to manage stress more effectively it's the teaching profession. In my work as a speaker to teachers I frequently get asked to address the issues of teacher burnout and teacher stress. So off I go with my practical suggestions, cartoons, stories and music to work with the profession I love and have been a part of for so many years. | ![]() |
I am under no illusion that my efforts will immediately solve the stress problems faced by educators throughout the world but I am convinced that if we start implementing the ideas in this e-book great things can happen that will not only manage our stress but also improve morale and make teaching the fun profession it once was. So my friends I would like to share with you ideas that work based on my belief and experience that relaxation and laughter can do wonders to enhance the quality of the teaching profession by restoring balance and serenity to its members . I constantly tell teachers to apply my HA principle on and off the job. The HA principle involves the cultivation of a Humor Oriented Lifestyle and a Positive Mental Attitude. Both go a long way in making your life and career more joyful and tranquil. When there is nothing more you can do about some of the things that happen to you in your professional relationships you still have total control over your attitude towards them and your sense of humor. Use both to foster healing and professional well being. | |
