Especially Feelings can be used individually, in a center, or as a class activity. The students are responsible for printing the feelings word on the line and for making the expression that corresponds to the feeling being talked about. Other than the mouth, the student can add other features to show feeling, such as frowning eyebrows to convey anger.

The booklet works best when completed after reading a book about feelings or having a lesson about feelings. You could also include a feelings game into your lesson as well. Have each student pair up and make different expressions at each other. Each student has to guess what feeling their partner is expressing.
