Math Mystery-Case of the Valentine Villains-Grade 2

This math mystery is a fun way for 2nd graders to practice doing a variety of word problems in a unique way. Kids just start reading at the beginning of the book, solve the problems, and go where the book tells them to go! If they get the wrong answer, they will have a 'stopper' that will tell them to go back to where they were working, and TRY AGAIN! This mystery includes these skills: *Adding money *Time to the nearest 5 minutes *Sharing *Adding 3-digit numbers *Measuring to the 1/2 inch *Place value *Appropriate unit of measure for length *Skip counting by 2s *Recording info on bar graph *Adding multiple 2-digit numbers There are a total of 10 word problems included in this story.
