The Reading Teacher's Encyclopedia - Section E

Section E of The Reading Teacher's Encyclopedia contains 62 activities that provide necessary practice with the five essential components of reading as identified by the National Reading Panel: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. In addition, the Encyclopedia includes writing activities which provide practice with newly-acquired skills and vocabulary.

Section E contains activities on 5 difficulty levels and corresponds to SnapWords™ List E. The games are designed for 3rd grade instruction. We make it easy for you to provide differentiated instruction: simply print the activities that match each student's reading and writing skill level. All color-coded vocabulary words are included for word wall formation.

Activities include ABC ordering, reading assessment, vocabulary bingo, vocabulary crossword puzzles, fill-in-the-blank, go fish, illustrate the sentences, making phrases, making sentences, sentence unscramble, sound manipulation, word searches, word wall games, and write about it sections.
